BobcatCard Information

Maintaining Your BobcatCard

Keep your BobcatCard with you at all times. Each card is non-transferable. Keep for two years after attending or separation from University as it will be needed if you return.

Your BobcatCard has technology embedded into it.  To keep it working please follow the following:

  • Keep away from magnets, keyless car remotes, wireless chargers and cell phones
  • Do not bend, fold, sit on, or expose to excessive heat, wash/dry, attach stickers
  • Do not punch a hole, bit, or dent, or otherwise mutilate

If a card is damaged, altered or defaced, there will be a replacement charge for each card.

Lost or Stolen BobcatCard

If your BobcatCard is lost or stolen, it must be reported immediately in order to deactivate.  It cannot be reactivated and there is a replacement fee.  You cannot have two active BobcatCards.

  1. Contact ID Services at 512-245-7700 to report your card lost or stolen or visit GET website 
  2. If your BobcatCard is linked to a Wells Fargo checking account, call 1-800-869-3557 immediately
  3. Replace at ID Services in San Marcos by visiting LBJ Student Center 2-9.1 during office hours.  For those in Round Rock please email idservices@txstate.edu
  4. After business hours
    1. For meal plan access see the Food Service Manager
    2. For Residence Hall access see Department of Housing and Residence Hall staff
  5. There is a replacement charge for each card replaced
  6. The University is not responsible for any loss or expense resulting from the loss, theft, damage or misuse of cards.
